I purchased my first pair of Golden Goose sneakers a few months ago (which I originally featured in this post), and have been asked a lot about them ever since. How do they perform over time?

They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Thanks to the vintage look, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.

How are they vs. other brands?

These are the best sneakers I own. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose are just on another level. They include a built-in arch bump that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the sparkle on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.

Would you buy again?

Yes! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re not cheap, so getting them on sale is a better idea. They’re worth the investment, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. Mine have pink glitter, but a low-key version would also be smart.
